WHAT IS THC?
Both cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) are known as phytocannabinoids, or cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. They are two of the most abundant cannabinoids produced by the plant and exert their effects via the endocannabinoid system of the body by way of interaction with CB1 and CB2 receptors, as well as other receptors, proteins, and chemicals.
THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is a compound derived predominantly from the marijuana plant, known for its high concentrations of THC; this is the infamous compound associated with the euphoric feelings or “high” you can feel upon ingesting, vaping, or smoking cannabis. The feeling of being “high” is no longer referred to as psychoactive, but rather intoxicating, akin to overconsumption of alcohol.
WHAT IS CBD?
CBD, or cannabidiol, is one of over a hundred active compounds found in the hemp plant. Considered a cannabinoid, CBD has numerous therapeutic benefits and works naturally with your body's endocannabinoid system (ECS) to bring homeostasis – or balance – to your mind and body. CBD is one of over 100 compounds found in the cannabis plant. It is found in both hemp and marijuana plants, with higher quantities in hemp. CBD is a major cannabinoid that has been investigated for its anti-inflammatory properties associated with promoting calmness, encouraging restful sleep, and easing overall discomfort.
WHAT IS THE ENDOCANNABINOID SYSTEM
The endocannabinoid system (ECS) is possibly the most important physiologic system involved in establishing and maintaining human health. Endocannabinoids and their receptors (CB1 & CB2) are found throughout the body: in the brain, organs, connective tissues, glands, and immune cells. In each tissue, the cannabinoid system performs different tasks, but the goal is always the same: homeostasis, the maintenance of a stable internal environment despite fluctuations in the external environment.
CB1 RECEPTORS
CB1 Receptors are primarily found in the brain and central nervous system, and to a lesser extent, other tissues.
CB2 RECEPTORS
CB2 Receptors are mostly in the peripheral organs, especially cells that are associated with the immune system.
HOW DO I CONSUME CANNABIS FLOWER?
Our team will guide you as to how best to consume your prescribed flower. We stock the leading brands of consumption devices from Zenco to House of Puff. You may also prefer to take a tincture, or edible to receive your recommended dose.
HOW DO I CONSUME CBD? psychoactive
CBD comes in many different formulations. It can be bought to be consumed as flower, vape pen, a tincture (also known as oils), topical (lotion or balm), edible (like chocolate), and even suppositories. This gives customers a lot of options to obtain the benefits of CBD, in ways that fit their lifestyle. Tinctures and oils can be mixed into drinks like tea or foods, or they can be placed directly under the tongue for immediate exposure. This type of ingestion starts working within 15-30 minutes, while consuming foods and edibles take up to two hours because it must get digested first before it can enter the system. Topicals and suppositories are used for more localized relief such as cream for muscle pain, suppositories for local tissue damage, or face serums for fine lines and glowing skin. Products that do not contain THC should not make the user feel “high” as this is the compound associated with providing these intoxicating (previously but no longer referred to as psychoactive) or euphoric feelings.
AM I ABLE TO CONSUME WITHIN THE HOTEL?
For the comfort of all, guests may smoke in the consumption areas or on their private terraces. Consumption via edibles and topical methods is welcome and used within a number of our Rituals.

CANNABIS IN THAILAND
The Practice of healing with plants is a culture that goes back thousands of years and in June 2022, Thailand fully embraced the benefits of Cannabis and returned the plant to its historical status in the Kingdom as an essential element of natural well-being.
Pre Prohibition, Cannabis was traditionally popular across Thailand, in cooking or as a medicinal herb, to treat ailments including headaches, asthma, digestion, and postpartum pain, it also provided a good source of fiber, and holistic medicine for the elderly.
CANNABIS WORLDWIDE
Today medical Cannabis use is championed in over 40 countries worldwide and demand for medical cannabis is expected to continue rising to treat symptoms of various health conditions, including forms of epilepsy, chronic pain, stress, sleep disorders, cancers and multiple sclerosis. During the pandemic, many people turned to cannabis or CBD products to reduce stress, anxiety or sleep problems.
According to the United Nations, 158.8 million people around the world use Cannabis to relieve the symptoms of sleep disorders, stress, anxiety, muscle and joint problems and lowering blood pressure to chronic pain and neurological disorders from diabetes, spinal cord injury, HIV, cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, Parkinsons, Huntingtons, Peripheral Neuropathy and PTSD.
While Thailand has become the first Asian country to decriminalise cannabis, 37 of the US states are now part of this legalisation, also all of Canada, Spain, The Netherlands, Portugal and Jamaica allow cannabis consumption and we are starting to create a ripple effect.
